Tydell Williams, a Philly native, started his theater journey in 2016, diving into carpentry, scenic art, and stage management. Fascinated by lighting design, he quickly went from lighting technician to master electrician in Philadelphia, making his design debut with The Lantern Theatre Company.

As an Assistant Lighting Designer, Tydell has worked on productions like “Tempest” (Delaware Shakespeare Festival), “The Royale” (The Lantern Theater Company), and “Abandon” (Theater Exile). He loves the mix of art and tech that brings performances to life.

When he’s not designing, Tydell enjoys making music, exploring 3D art, and fire spinning. As a multidisciplinary artist, he finds inspiration in everything around him and uses these connections to fuel his creativity.

Tydell is excited to keep growing as a designer and making his mark on the vibrant world of Philadelphia theater and live entertainment. With a sharp eye and boundless creativity, he’s ready to illuminate stages in Philly and beyond, crafting unforgettable experiences through the art of light.
